SIVANANDA YOGA: ALL LEVELS- go at your own pace. Emphasis on basic postures with variations, pranayama and relaxation.  See link: Sivananda.org

 

VIPASSANA  MEDITATION: Known as "mindfulness" meditation- the art of paying attention from moment-to-moment. Helps you to relax, develop awareness, and take a step-back from day-to-day worries.

 

 

Unless noted otherwise, classes are held at The Authentic Living Center (ALC) in Troy,

1640 Axtell Road,1 Street East of the Whole Foods Plaza (Near Coolidge and Maple).

Your first class is free of charge.

 You may drop-in to the yoga class any day when it is offered. Check -in at the front desk and let them know it is your first class. The yoga room is on the lower level. Yoga classes are complementary for those enrolled at the same time in the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction course. For a map giving the location of the center, please click here:

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Course (MBSR)

This course is currently offered about 2-3 times per year, and incorporates meditation and gentle yoga to help teach you how to cope better with stress. All group yoga classes are free to those enrolled in the MBSR course.
